Cephalometric, Panoramic and Orthoroentgenogram Imaging / Digital Radiography
What is Panoramic Radiography?
Panoramic radiography is an x-ray examination that captures the entire mouth in a single image, including the teeth, upper and lower jaws, surrounding structures and tissues. It usually provides details of the bones and teeth. Panoramic and cephalometric radiographs provide safe and fast examination through the use of the latest technology machine.
Why Panoramic Radiography?
A panoramic x-ray is a commonly performed examination by dentists and oral surgeons in everyday practice and is an important diagnostic tool. It provides valuable information about maxillary sinuses, tooth placement and other bone abnormalities.
A panoramic x-ray reveals information such as:
Advanced periodontal disease
Cysts in the jaw bones
Jaw tumours and mouth cancer
Impacted and crooked teeth
Jaw disorders (also known as temporomandibular joint or TMJ disorders)
How is the procedure performed?
The procedure is performed by our experienced Radiology Technician team. It is a simple and short procedure and takes about 5-10 minutes including preparation. Except preparation, it only takes about 8 to 15 seconds to capture the image.
