Prostate MRI

Prostate MRI is a non-invasive method that allows for imaging of the prostate gland and surrounding tissues. It is highly effective in the early diagnosis of prostate cancer, as well as in assessing its spread, infections, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and congenital abnormalities.

This method allows for a biopsy to be performed from the correct area if prostate cancer is suspected, ensuring a definitive diagnosis. If there is no suspicion of cancer, a biopsy may not be necessary.

Why is it needed?

  • Prostate cancer
  • Prostate hyperplasia
  • Infections
  • Congenital abnormalities

For this imaging method, you need to fast for 8 hours prior to the procedure and arrive 90 minutes earlier than your scheduled appointment time.
